Our founder Gill Ashcroft has care and compassion in in her DNA, donating and supporting charities, such as The Hive (Youth Centre) and the Liberty Centre (Domestic Violence Support Refuge for women and children), food banks and underprivileged families, through competitions to win experiences, empowering families and mentoring business women to success.
Our commitment to charitable initiatives is unwavering. Our staff regularly participate in events like Race for Life, Pretty Muddy, and monthly walks. During Mental Health Awareness Week, we show support by wearing green and collecting donations.
At the heart of our business, is a mission to make a difference. Dedicating time and resources to communities and charities allows us to live out this mission, making a tangible and lasting impact on the lives of those we touch.

The Hive
The Hive Youth Zone is a vibrant and dynamic space dedicated to empowering young people in the community. Located in Birkenhead], our Youth Zone offers a wide range of activities, targeted programmes and opportunities that cater to the diverse interests and needs of young individuals aged 8 – 19 or 25 with an additional need.
Our vision is for every young person to be happy, healthy and thrive within their community. to provide a safe and inclusive environment where young people can dare to dream, explore their passions and unlock their full potential. Whether it’s sports, arts, music, or personal development, The Hive offers something for everyone.
We believe young people should have access to the same opportunities and experiences regardless of their economic circumstances. Annual membership is £5 and 50p each visit, although this can be waivered for our families who are struggling.

The Hive Youth Zone is more than just a recreational space; it’s a hub of creativity, growth, and community. We invite all young individuals to join us in shaping a space where their aspirations can flourish and their voices can be heard.
Think Tank’s support with the Hive has enabled the establishment of safe spaces, including a fully-equipped production suite for creative endeavours. This suite has empowered young individuals to explore videography and YouTube content creation. A remarkable outcome of this initiative has been the production of impactful videos, such as those addressing critical issues like Knife Crime and Criminal Exploitation, which have been utilized in some of our Think Tank courses.
Continuous support for The Hive, including funding, stems from our involvement with the Liverpool Ladies Network, whose focus in 2023 is on The Hive and we are donating again to their networking event in September with the topic of suicide awareness.

The Liberty Centre
The Liberty Centre Domestic Violence Support Services in West Lancashire is a vital resource dedicated to assisting individuals and families impacted by domestic violence. Our focus is on providing comprehensive support, guidance, and empowerment to those affected by domestic abuse within the West Lancashire community. Our services encompass a wide spectrum of assistance, including:
Emotional Support: We offer a safe and confidential space for survivors to share their experiences, providing emotional support to help them heal and rebuild their lives.
Practical Guidance: Our team provides practical guidance on legal matters, safety planning, housing options, and accessing essential services.
Counseling: Trained professionals offer confidential counseling to survivors, helping them cope with trauma and develop strategies for moving forward.
Advocacy: We advocate for survivors’ rights and work alongside them to navigate legal and administrative processes.
Education and Awareness: Our organization is dedicated to raising awareness about domestic violence through educational workshops, seminars, and community outreach.
Community Resources: We connect survivors with community resources, networks, and organizations that can provide additional support.
The Liberty Centre Domestic Violence Support Services in West Lancashire is committed to breaking the cycle of domestic violence and providing survivors with the tools they need to regain control of their lives. Their mission is to empower individuals to live free from violence and fear, promoting a safer and healthier community for all.

NSPCC
The NSPCC is one of the leading children’s charities in the UK with 130 years focused on safeguarding and supporting children. We support children across the UK in several ways; from Direct Services who work directly with children and young people who have suffered trauma and abuse. School Services who deliver assemblies through our volunteers. Their online Campaigns and work with parents and local groups. Also, lobbying in Parliament to push through the Online Safety Bill to ensure that children are safe online. NSPCC Academy who delivers safeguarding training directly to Local Authorities and other services. Their Development, Implementation and scale up team who create and rollout new services such as Grade Care Profile, LTFI and other services. They work closely with researchers from King’s College London to ensure that what we do is evidence base.
Fundraising and events, who work tirelessly across the UK to enable them to do the work that they do. Over 90% of their funding comes from the public and is collected from a team of dedicated volunteers who give their time and energy to support them.
They also have Childline and NSPCC Helpline. 24-hour support online, or via the phone to children, and to adults who are concerned about a child.
Everything they do is focused on safeguarding and supporting children and young people, because every child is worth fighting for.
